Dr. Leveque divides her clinical time between comprehensive ophthalmology and uveitis. In her comprehensive practice, she treats patients with a broad spectrum of conditions such as dry eyes and ocular surface disease, glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, visual symptoms, eye pain, ocular manifestations of systemic disease, and trauma. She performs minor eyelid surgery and performs lasers for glaucoma or secondary cataract. Dr. Leveque's uveitis practice is a referral-based clinic in which she provides expert subspecialty opinions and treatment for complex inflammatory, autoimmune and infectious eye diseases. Dr. Leveque and her team use diagnostics such as detailed patient history, careful physical examination, multimodal eye imaging, and laboratory testing to diagnose and treat uveitic conditions, including scleritis and ulcerative keratitis, and anterior, intermediate, posterior and panuveitis. She administers and monitors systemic immunomodulatory therapy, local medications and performs periocular and intravitreal injections, including slow-release steroid implants. While primarily dedicated to the clinical care of patients, Dr. Leveque also enjoys teaching uveitis fellows, ophthalmology residents, medical students, and ophthalmic technicians — receiving top scores for clarity, organization, collegiality, and humor. She is a member of the education committee of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She has been an invited lecturer at national and regional meetings and has served as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. She has co-authored a number of journal articles, textbook chapters, and clinical expert interviews on uveitis topics.
